It began with something she noticed.
Long before there was a title, a practice, or thirty-five years of work behind her, Catherine was a young woman paying close attention to the people around her — families, neighbors, whole communities — and noticing how much pain lived in the space between people who loved each other but had never been taught how to talk to one another.
She noticed something else, too. How often a person didn't need fixing. They needed someone to stand close enough, and stay long enough, to say: you can.

That noticing became a calling. She wanted to be the greatest social worker she could possibly be — not for the title, but because she believed that with the right guidance, the right words, and the right presence, a person could be shaped, healed, and set back on their feet. She wanted to lead, because leadership was the way to reach more of them.
Thirty-five years later, she is still keeping that promise.

Catherine built her career in the nonprofit world, where the work was rarely tidy and the results were rarely fast. She sat with individuals in the hardest seasons of their lives. She worked alongside organizations trying to hold their communities together. She learned how to listen for the thing underneath the thing — the fear behind the anger, the exhaustion behind the excuse, the longing behind the silence.

And across three decades, one lesson kept proving itself true: transformation starts with the individual, and then it branches out.

One woman finds her footing, and her family steadies. A family steadies, and a congregation feels it. A leader stops performing, and an entire organization is allowed to breathe. Healing is never contained to the person who receives it.

What she learned along the way

She learned that no one is meant to do it alone — not the people she served, and not her either. The most durable work she ever did was work she did with somebody. Collaboration wasn't a strategy; it was the point. Networks weren't transactions; they were lifelines. Advocacy wasn't something you did on behalf of a community — it was something a community learned to do for itself.

She learned that there is always a better way, even when no one can see it yet. That the best is genuinely still ahead. And that her role was never to hand someone a plan, but to walk beside them until they could see the next step for themselves.
Which is how the work became what it is today.
What started as a young woman's secret desire has grown, season by season, into a practice that reaches across boundaries most people never cross in a single career — faith communities, nonprofit organizations, healthcare systems, corporate boardrooms, and women's ministries.

Today Catherine works with leaders, women, youth, families in every season: executives, ministers, founders, mothers, and seekers. Women who are capable and respected and quietly worn out. Leaders who have been running so long they've forgotten what it feels like to stand still.
Her approach is not a program. It is a presence. She walks alongside them — and she stays until they remember who they are.

Because the goal was never to help you perform better. It was to help you become.
